I. PAPAL INTENTION FOR MAY, 2024:
For the Formation of Religious and Seminarians: We pray that religious women and men, and
seminarians, grow in their own vocations through their human, pastoral, spiritual and community
formation, leading them to be credible witnesses to the Gospel.
II. OUR BISHOP SPEAKS :
The Church, Synod and Jubilee
Dear Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, and People,
The Synodal Church with her extraordinary mission, strives to be alive,
resilient and unafraid to emphasize her view on man, church and her
multifarious ministries. For the past few years, realizing the importance on
Synod, the Church expresses her strong willingness to be inclusive,
listening, dialoguing and walking together.
She has also asked the faithful to celebrate the Jubilee 2025 of the Lord
Jesus stressing synodal points, and entertaining strong hope in the future,
following the footsteps of Jesus, that is the Cross. The Church faced with
unknown problems, does not fail to pray and do its charitable activities,
enlightened by Gospel values and teachings of the Vatican documents. The Church puts her strong
trust in her Lord Jesus who guides her sending the Holy Spirit. The evil forces of the world can
never defeat the Church.
Pope of Peace:
It is also the clarion call of the Pope, to pray together and pray always for peace because there is
war everywhere. There is not a single day the Pope does not fail to point to the humans the grave
violations done to the innocent people like children, women, the elderly and the entire population.
He sheds tears over such carnage and devastation that is caused by war.
Dignitas Infinita:
Recently the Pope has given his consent to the „Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith‟ to declare
and publish „Dignitas Infinita‟ on human dignity. It is heartening that the Church stands firm on her
precious thoughts on the dignity of the human person. Inspite of the negative thoughts and attitude
the world holds on human dignity and its unacceptable treatments of the human person, the Church
relentlessly teaches the world the sacredness and dignity of the human being.
According to Cardinal Wilton Gregory, Archbishop of Washington DC, the document on „Dignitas
Infinita‟ is a balanced and challenging document.
The document has been formed in the light of the Revelation (Word of God), teachings of the
Church and repeated discussions maintained by the Church. The document takes into consideration
of the entire life from „Conception to Natural Conclusion‟.
