You are requested to pray for Fr. Arul prabaakar, Fr.Jesudoss, Fr. Ruban, Fr. Sahaya raj Rayen and Fr.Lipton Maria doss as they are under treatment in the hospital. Special prayers are needed for Fr. Sahayaraj Rayen and Fr. Ruban as they suffer from low saturation. In this pandemic situation we the presbeterium manifest our solidarity by feeling for them and praying for them.
May the healing hands of Jesus touch everybody.

Anthatharayar, the Bishop-Emeritus of Pondy-Cuddalore is admitted in St.Thomas hospital Chennai for covid treatment. Kindly pray for his speedy recovery. Since his oxygen saturation level is very low this request is made.Keep him in your prayers.

Archbishop Emeritus Most.Rev.Dr. Antony Anandarayar passed away at 9.35 pm yesterday. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 4.00 pm today at Pondicherry Cathedral.
May his soul rest in peace.

Dear Reverend Fathers,
This is to inform you that Mr. R. S. Packianathan, the beloved father of Rev Fr. Nelson Paulraj, the Coordinator of pastoral commissions of the Southern Region of our diocese, died this morning at Satankulam. He was 93. The funeral mass will be celebrated tomorrow (Sunday, the 9th of May) at 10 a.m. at Satankulam. Our heartfelt condolences to Rev. Fr. Nelson and his family. May his soul rest in peace.

Today our diocese has participated in the corono relief activities in 3 ways..

1. Cash check for the chief minister ,(2 lakhs) relief fund.
2. Gloves for corporation workers and doctors (about 2 lakhs estimated )
3. Water bottles ,biscuts and grocery items for the poor and hospitalized. (1 lakh est)

We do hope that you are taking all the precautionary steps to keep you safe in this Covid situation.This is to inform you that Fr.Sahayaraj Rayan and Fr.Ruban have been shifted to Royal hospital, Tuticorin for further treatment. Fr. Rolington is admitted in Sacred heart hospital, Tuticorin. Fr.Thaddaeus Rajan is admitted in Holy cross hospital, Nagercoil. Fr.G.Joseph is admitted in Thiruchendur.Fr.S.M.Sahayam, the Procurator is back to home from the hospital. Kindly continue to pray for our priests and take care of your good health.

He will be laid to rest tonight itself in his home town Kuthenkuly. Kindly pray for the repose of his soul. We offer our hearty condolences to the bereaved family.

We are sad to inform you that our Diocesan Administrator very Rev.Fr.A. Packianathan passed away due to covid 19 around 1.30 p.m. There will not be funeral mass. Funeral ceremony will be held as per the government guidelines. May his soul rest in peace.
