A Brief History :
Thoppuvilai was one of the important substations of Anaikarai Mission. The Church at Thoppuvilai was built in 1969. Thoppuvilai was elevated into a parish in 1999 by Bishop Peter Fernando. Rev. Fr. Anbuselvan was the first parish priest. The new beautiful Church was put up by Rev. Fr. Anbuselvan and it was completed by Rev. Fr. Arul Sahayam. It was blessed by Bishop Yvon Ambroise.
