A Brief History :
Rajakrishnapuram was a substation of Azhagappapuram till 1964. Rev. Fr. Paul Bastian came to Rajakrishnapuram in 1964 as priest in-charge. He demolished the old presbytery and put up a new one. On 15th of August 1965 Rajakrishnapuram was made into a separate parish and Rev. Fr. M.S. Antony was appointed as the first parish priest. In 1972 Rajakrishnapuram again was attached to Azhagappapuram. In December 1972, Bishop Ambrose Mathalaimuthu laid the foundation stone for a new Church at Rajakrishnapuram. In 1973 Rajakrishnapuram was made again a separate parish and Rev. Fr. Peter Rajah completed the Church construction. He also built a belfry and on 27th December 1975 the Church was blessed by Bishop Ambrose Mathalaimuthu. In 1984 Rev. Fr. Stanislaus Pandian renovated and extended the presbytery, and he converted the grotto at Parappuvilai into a chapel and it was blessed by Bishop S.T. Amalnather in 1986. When Rev. Fr. John Britto was the parish priest Anjugramam became the substation of Rajakrishnapuram.

The Primary school has two buildings, one in memory of Rev.Fr.Stanislaus Pandian and the other of Rev.Fr. Antony Thilagarj. There is also a marriage Hall, recently completed. Sisters of St. Anne’s Congregation Tiruchy run the Higher Secondary School. The construction of new Belfy has been compleeted.
