A Brief History :
Puthiamputhur was bifurcated from Kombady Mission and was made into a separate parish by Bishop Peter Fernando in 2000. Rev. Fr. Leo Jeyaseelan was the first parish priest, who built the presbytery in 2003. The already existing Church is being extended and renovated by Rev. Fr. Dhanasekar. The renovation work was blessed and started by Bishop Yvon Ambroise. Puthiamputhur has 9 substations all of which were once part of the mother parish Kombady except Muppilivetti which was from Keezhamudiman parish.
