A Brief History :
Alangara thattu Our Lady of Ransom, 112th Parish, which was the part of Lourdammalpuram, was made into a separate parish by Bishop. Youn Ambrose on 18th July 2015. The church was built by the first parish priest Rev.Fr. John Selvam. S., who also built the presbytery which had been blessed on 30.12.2015.

The total Parish land 6.15 Acres were donated freely to the parochial church, OurLady of Ransom by Mr. Savarimuthu Mascrehnas, Mr. Manual Xavier Motha and Mr. Kalanchiyam Fdo from our Lady of snows church, which was shared freely to catholic people around the church. The rest of the land is compounded for the church. The present R.C. school which edifice the campus, was sponsored by Rev. Fr. John Selvam the then superintendent of RC schools, and blessed by Msgr. Joseph Ratnaraj on 07.03.2005.
