In all its History Bishop Tiburtius Roche, Frs.J.S. Lobo, Joakim Fernando, Eusebius Ofm (cap), Pancras Fernando are greatly remembered with regard to establishment of Amalinagar as a parish and building and renovation of the old church. In modern History Fr. Dixon started the renovation of today's Church in 2011 and Fr.Antony Jegathesan completed it in 2015. The most remarkable honor to the newly built church is that it was solely built by the sweat and the blood of the people of Amalinagar. It was raised is to the status of shrine in 2021 during the period of Fr. Ravindran Fernando.
